Imogene Cooper, a brilliant British woman who studied piano with Jacques Favrier and Yvonne Lefebvre in Paris, Jörg Dames and Paul Badura-Skoda in Vienna, and is known as a student of Alfred Brendel. Imogene Cooper, who has gained international fame as a specialist in the German-Austrian repertoire of the Classical and Romantic periods, with a focus on Schubert, arrives at Liszt & Wagner from her previous work Chopin (CHAN 10902) in her splendid journey through the Romantic piano works.From such gems as "The Forgotten Waltz" and "The Pilgrim's Progress" to music from Liszt's own arrangement of the "Faust Symphony" and transcriptions from Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde" (Liszt and Kocsis), Imogen Cooper will perform. Cooper was also greatly inspired by the great Hungarian pianist & conductor Zoltán Kocsis in the recording, and this disc is dedicated to his memory after his passing in November 2016. Tokyo M Plus
