The latest orchestral album by post-classical charismatic Max Richter, streamed over 200 million times. The world premiere recording of the ballet music "Exiles"! Exiles is the music for the ballet Sanguliere Odyssee (Singuliere Odyssee), which premiered at the Netherlands Dance Theatre in 2016. The ballet was performed at the Netherlands Dance Theatre's Japan tour in June 2019.The work is based on the "migrant crisis" that fled the civil war caused by the March 2011 democratic movement known as the "Arab Spring." The orchestral versions of Richter's signature pieces, including "On the Nature of Daylight," are newly recorded. The gorgeous sound of the orchestra adds to the emotional impact. Performed by Christian Järvi, an expert in contemporary music who also conducted Max Richter's Japan tour in 2019.Max RichterMax Richter is a brilliant and charismatic figure on the contemporary music scene. The score is not the only one he has written. Many directors seeking "special" music, such as Martin Scorsese ("Shutter Island") and Denis Villeneuve ("The Message"), have found their answer in Richter's catalog. Most recently, Richter scored "White Boy Rick" starring Matthew McConaughey, "Mary and Elizabeth," starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, "Ad Astra" starring Brad Pitt, and the HBO series "My Brilliant Friend. He has also written the score for the HBO series My Brilliant Friend.
