The result is this album, never before released to the public. Seven wonderful operatic scenes have been selected, known as concert arias by Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, and Mislivecek. It was written to allow the best soprano divas to prove their amazing abilities. The Basel Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Mukhay Tan, performs with Bartoli. Two Mozart arias, which Bartoli is particularly fond of, are performed by his close friend Maxim Vengerov on solo violin. Bartoli said, "I was happy to get around to a lot of things I had left undone, things I had put off, things I had forgotten. We were able to look back into our sound archive in search of hidden gems. The sound recordings on this album are extremely valuable to me.
