(Original release: 1973/Atco Records)This is the third solo album by the R&B singer-songwriter who led the Yardbirds-type British band T-Bones in the 60's and performed at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1969/70. This is the first American recording (Muscle Shoals Sound Studio) with Atlantic Records master Jerry Wexler (Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, etc.) as producer. Backed by local session masters (Pete Carr on guitar, Roger Hawkins on drums, David Hood on bass, etc.), this masterpiece breaks new ground as a singer in the laid-back feel characteristic of the American South.
