The cutting-edge acoustic world of Croatian female composer Mirela Ivicevic! Mirela Ivicevic, born in 1980 in Split, Croatia, is currently based in Vienna. Her new work was premiered in Japan by Klangforum Wien at the Suntory Hall Summer Festival 2022 in August of this year, and she has been steadily gaining attention in recent years. This album, her first for the Kairos label, includes five works for ensemble and electronics composed between 2014 and 2019. Klangforum Wien, Austria's leading ensemble specializing in contemporary music, and the Black Page Orchestra, a Viennese avant-garde music ensemble of which she herself is one of the co-founders, transport us to the radical acoustic world of Ivicevich's exploration of the subversive possibilities of sound.
