Description:

110th anniversary of the birth and 25th anniversary of his death. The best performance of Flömich, an authority on Bach, was performed by a splendid group of members from the former East Germany. The excellent recording with the best sound quality is recorded in a 2-CD set. This is the world's first SACD release. Mastered only in the analog domain and converted directly to DSD! The latest reissue of the original ETERNA analog tapes in Japan, the 31st SACD hybridization project. Choral master Martin Frömich (August 19, 1913 - January 13, 1998), known as an authority on Schütz and Bach, was appointed Kreuzkantor in 1971 and led the Dresden St. The "Christmas Oratorio" was carefully session-recorded in 1974-75 by Martin Frömich (August 19, 1913 - January 13, 1998), who became Kreuzkantor in 1971 and led the St. Cross Choir of Dresden, and is now being reissued as the world's first SACD recording. Previously available on CD as a 3-disc set, this time Parts 1 to 3 are stored on DISC 1, and Parts 4 to 6 on DISC 2, making it possible to store the long recording on two separate discs. The clean and deep sound of the chorus, in which the female part is sung by a boy, combined with the acoustics of the Luke Church in Dresden, where the recording was made, is the ultimate in beauty. The soloists, Peter Schreier and Theo Adam from the Choir of the Holy Cross, as well as female singers Arlene Ojjeh and Anneliese Burmeister, are dedicated to the work and their singing deepens the sense of unity in the performance. The orchestra is led by the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, but the solo violinist is Carl Zuske (then concertmaster of the Berlin State Opera), who was considered one of the best concertmasters in Europe at the time, and the trumpet is played by Ludwig Gutler (then solo trumpeter of the Dresden Philharmonic). (then solo trumpet player of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra) and others. Zuske plays the violin obbligato in arias No. 31, No. 41, and No. 51, and his deep tone and melancholy expression add shades to the performance, while Güttler's trumpet adds more brilliance and splendor in many places, including No. 8 and No. 24. Recording engineers Klaus Streuben and Horst Kunze have captured these varied characterizations of the works and performances with a soft, soothing sound that gives the listener the pleasure of being immersed in Bach's music.
