Rameau & Scarlatti on melancholy guitar!Finbar Malafronte is a young classical guitarist who has been performing publicly since the age of 9 and studied with Manuel Barrueco at the Peabody Conservatory. Currently based in London and performing throughout Europe, Malafronte has demonstrated his high level of taste by tackling classic classical repertoire, contemporary new works, jazz and popular music, and more. Malafronte's new album, entitled "Maestros of the Baroque," features arrangements for guitar solo of keyboard works by Jean-Philippe Rameau, a French Baroque great, and Domenico Scarlatti, born in Italy and active in Spain. The piece was performed on the harpsichord at the time. The sound of the harpsichord as it was played in those days is sublimated into a light and melancholy guitar performance with great skill and sensitivity. Tokyo M-Plus
