Description:

NAZARETH, a hard rock band from Scotland, was born in the early days of the British HR/HM scene and has been active in the scene despite several member changes. The live album of the Canadian show in May 1981 is reissued in 2011 as a remastered analog LP! The band's career spans more than half a century, and their albums released in the 80's are now back on vinyl. NAZARETH was formed in Dunfermline, Scotland in 1968. They started by playing shows in local pubs and clubs, and eventually moved to London, where they released their debut album in 1971. It was not until their third album "RAZAMANAZ" in 1973, produced by Roger Glover of Deep Purple, that the band began to attract the attention of the rock scene.(Incidentally, when they released their second album, they were opening for Deep Purple.) "RAZAMANAZ" produced hits such as "Broken Down Angel," which made the UK Top 10, and "Bad Bad Boy," and was followed by the release of LOUD 'N' PROUD" was also a hit not only in the UK, but also in Canada and Germany with "This Flight Tonight," a cover of Joni Mitchell's song. They continued to release albums consistently with "RAMPANT" in 1974 and "HAIR OF THE DOG" in 1975, producing rock hits such as "My White Bicycle" and "Love Hurts," the band's only U.S. hit. After a few member changes, the band continued to consistently release albums and tour, but in 1993, the spotlight was back on them, as GUNS 'N' ROSES released a cover of their song "Hair Of The Dog" on their "THE SPAGHETTI INCIDENT?
