This album weaves together nearly 150 years of Belgian trombone history, from the pioneer of Belgian music, Fétis, to the contemporary composer Kuhn Sefferens. Bram Fournier studied with Jan Smets at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Antwerp. He is a solo trombonist with the Orchestre Royal de la Opera de la Monnaie in Brussels and a member of the Antwerp wind ensemble "I Solisti," as well as the Hermes Ensemble, the Belgian Ensemble, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Belgian National Orchestra, He has also performed frequently with the Casco Philharmonic Orchestra.
