Bokova is a leading figure in the Czech jazz scene and a hot topic of conversation in Europe. His debut release, Inner Places (ANI-079), features works inspired by classical, minimal, and popular music. The album received attention when it won the Angell Award, the Czech Republic's highest music award, in the category of Best Jazz Album. The following album, UNRAVEL (ANI-087), was an ambitious work that challenged Ravel and Rachmaninoff in addition to original compositions.The highly anticipated third installment of the series will feature the brilliant horn player Radek Baborak, David Doruzka, a new generation guitarist from Prague whose talent has been highly praised by Pat Metheny, Jaromir Honzak, a leading bass player and a key figure in the Czech Republic's uniquely developing contemporary jazz scene, and Czech drummer Michał Wiejgonyu, who is currently active in Austria. The music depicts various scenes and images, as well as evokes emotions and offers a glimpse into those memories.
