Bach's "Violin Sonatas," featuring the next generation of young masters of the ancient music world! The six sonatas by J.S. Bach are performed by two of the rising stars of today's ancient music scene: Leila Scheie on baroque violin and Jörg Halbeck on harpsichord! Leila Chaillet, a member of Chiara Banchini's Ensemble 415 and the first violinist of Bonizzoni's La Risonanza, succeeded her mentor Banchini in 2010, and since then she has been training younger students at her alma mater, the Schola Cantorum Basel, the headquarters of Swiss classical music. Jörg Halbeck is a brilliant woman in the world of baroque violin. Jörg Halbeck is a young star of the German classical music world who is developing a remarkable career as the conductor of the Baroque orchestra Il Justo Barocco in Stuttgart.He studied ancient music technique in Freiburg and Basel, and is an accomplished musician and professor at the Anton Bruckner University of Music Linz and the Stuttgart University of Music.
