Limited numbered edition in Stoughton gatefold jacket Along with Carole King and Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon was one of the leading female SSWs of American rock in the 1970s. This is her first chart-topping album and is a masterpiece with gorgeous guest appearances. The album includes the smash hit "YOU'RE SO VAIN" with Mick Jagger on the chorus, "NIGHT OWL" with Linda & Paul McCartney, and many more. Doris Troy, Lowell George, Bonnie Bramlett, and of course, her then boyfriend/husband James Taylor.Carly's soft vocals are as good as her guests, and her songwriting embodies the singer/songwriter of the 70's. It is a masterpiece that mixes pop, jazz, folk, and blues.
