The King's Consort, Britain's world-class period orchestra, has made a spectacular comeback in response to the establishment of its own label, Vivat. Robert King's big project is the "1833 Dusseldorf Edition" of Handel's oratorio "The Israelite in Egypt" arranged by Mendelssohn and revised by Robert King! The Israelites in Egypt". The time has passed in Dusseldorf, Germany in the 19th century.Mendelssohn, who had studied Handel's oratorio, created a new overture based on the autograph score and fragments, changed the lyrics from English to German, orchestrated the music for 19th century instruments, and created a magnificent double chorus, and completed the "1833 Düsseldorf version" of "The Mendelssohn's skill in reviving and revitalizing J.S. Bach's "Matthew Passion" is fully demonstrated here as well, and Handel's "The Israelites in Egypt," reborn in a magnificent Romantic style, was an important turning point that would be followed by "St. Paul" and "Elijah" later. The work was an important turning point for Handel's later "St. Paul" and "Elijah" works.
