Gordon Broad is a Hawaiian composer who made his mark on Hawaiian music history in the 1980s with his song "Sweet Lady Of Waiahole. Sweet Lady Of Waiahole" is a song about Fujiko Shimabukuro, who was born in Hawaii, spent her childhood in Okinawa, returned to Hawaii at the age of 18, sold fruits and sweet potatoes to feed her children, and was regarded as a pillar of the community and a symbol of selfless kindness. The song has become a favorite throughout Hawaii. This is his debut album released in 1970, and it is a mysterious work that mixes elements of psychedelic, jazz, pop, and garage rock in a relaxed and slumbering atmosphere, a cool sense of style and the serenity and nostalgia of Hawaii at the same time. This is a piece of music that is irresistible.The songs "Waikiki Jungle" and "My Home Town" depict the unique aspects of Honolulu and Oahu in a pop way, while incorporating heavy harmonies, organ, flute, and of course steel guitar, while daydreaming psychedelic songs like "Eye Of Spring" and "Righteous Morning" establish this album as a must-have for psychedelic lovers and collectors.
