Description:

The world premiere recording of the concerto by the leading viola player Lisanov by the contemporary Latvian composer Vasks! Maxim Lissanov [Maxim Lissanov] is the world's most remarkable viola player. In addition to being active as a soloist, he is a performer who has been trusted immensely by world-famous performers such as Janine Jansen and Martin Frest. In recent years, he has been actively expanding his conducting activities. In a new recording with Sinfonietta Riga, he recorded two works by Latvian contemporary composer Vasks in the presence of the composer. Vasks began his musical career as a contrabassist and studied composition in Lithuania. He is still active as a composer. The concerto for viola and string orchestra, dedicated to Rissanoff and recorded for the first time in the world, consists of "Andante," which begins in the low register of the viola, "Allegro moderato," in which the viola and string orchestra create a striking contrast, "Andante," in which the beauty of the viola melody can be fully appreciated, and "Andante," which reaches a passionate climax and then leads to darkness. The work consists of four movements: "Adagio," which reaches a passionate climax and eventually leads us to darkness. The coupling piece is the symphony for string orchestra, "Voice," a masterpiece that Vasks' name became known worldwide when it was performed and recorded by Kremerata Baltica led by Gidon Kremer. The work consists of three movements, "Voice of Silence," "Voice of Life," and "Voice of Conscience," and is characterized by lyrical music typical of Vasks. The performance will be given by Sinfonietta Riga, which was founded in 2006 and has won several awards, including a Grammy. This chamber orchestra actively performs and records works from their native country. King International
