Heavy Hymnal, a collection of heavy hymns focused on the state of the world, is released.Vintage Trouble consists of lead singer Ty Taylor, guitarist Nalle Colt, bassist Rick Barrio Dill, and drummer Richard Danielson. Drawing from the best of James Brown, Mick Jagger, Bruno Mars, and Prince, Ty is widely regarded as one of the best frontmen of his generation. Their latest album, Heavy Hymnal, focuses on the state of the world in the band's trademark blues/funk rock style, and features a vocal guest appearance by Lady Blackbird, a jazz/soul singer also from Los Angeles. As history has proven, when the world is on fire, sympathetic artists ignite words, music, and rhythms to mask social anger and nurse wounded souls.The pandemic blockade, the distance from society, and the turbulent plague of civil unrest and racial injustice have called for Vintage Trouble to change into battle gear. As they have done so many times before, they spun a record and dropped it on the battlefield, intent on stopping the warring world in an instant. And while we are at ease, we are free to choose to think before we attack or decide to retreat, rather than rashly charge in to repeat the same history. The collection of heavy hymns comes from the heart and provides a much needed lift in the reckoning of our past retribution.
