The Queen's Six sing satirically and comically from the Tom Lehrer Songbook, which is now in the public domain! The Queen's Six is a male a capella group formed in 2008, the 450th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth I, by members of the choir of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, and is known for its close ties to the British Royal Family, including performances at the Royal Wedding. The third volume of Signum Classics, featuring six elite members of the Tallis Scholars, The Sixteen, Polyphony, and other famous ensembles from the choral kingdom of England, features an American singer-songwriter known for his satirical works dealing with a variety of social and political issues, The third volume of Signum Classics is a songbook by Tom Lehrer (b.1928), an American singer-songwriter, pianist, and mathematician known for his satirical works dealing with various social and political issues. Tom Lehrer abandoned the copyrights to about 100 songs and put them in the public domain so that everyone could freely use his "catchy and savage musical satire. And the Queen's Six takes on this unique challenge. With the exciting title "Murder the Songs of Tom Lehrer!" The group sang a number of humorous pieces under the exciting title "Murder the Songs of Tom Lehrer," including his masterpiece "Poison to the Doves in the Park," "The Elements," in which the elemental names are arranged in the verses of a Major General's song, "Alma," about the love-struck Mrs. Mahler, and "The Vatican Rag," a satire on the contradictions of the Church, freely arranging some songs into completely different atmospheres. The songs are freely arranged and sung in completely different atmospheres. The jacket design & illustrations of the members are the work of Paul Taylor, a British artist and illustrator who is also a founding member of the Vaughan Williams Society. Tokyo M-Plus
