The handpicked Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra celebrates its 40th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of the birth of Copeman's wife, Tini Mathot. It is also the 70th anniversary of the birth of bass singer Klaus Mertens, who participates in Copeman's recording of the complete Bach cantatas. Incidentally, Mertens was presented with the Bach Medal by the city of Leipzig in 2019.This album combines the 2019 recordings performed by three great musicians with the best of their earlier recordings. It includes something like Haydn's Scottish Songs, which Copeman arranged for song, fortepiano, and harpsichord.
