The beauty of unaccompanied choral music. Capella Platensis takes on contemporary works in this album filled with the beauty of unaccompanied mixed chorus. The album is composed mainly of "Missa Unitatis" by British contemporary composer Anthony Pitts, interspersing ancient and contemporary choral works. Pitts' work was performed in 2016 at the concert commemorating the 500th anniversary of the death of Hieronymus Bosch, and although it starts out in an old-fashioned Gregorian chant style, the number of voices increases at once, showing the potential of choral music. Capella Pratensis, which has been well received in the field of ancient music, does not disappoint with its beautiful singing, and this is an exciting album that seems to go further into uncharted territory.
