Included here are the band's signature songs such as "Easy to Slip" and the album's title track "Saylin' Shoes," as well as an updated version of "Willin'," which also appeared on the band's self-titled debut album released in 1971. This deluxe edition also includes outtakes from the album recordings for the first time, allowing listeners to enjoy alternate versions of "Cold Cold Cold," "Apolitical Blues," and "Willin'. In addition, this deluxe edition also spotlights the magical live performances that Little Feat has captivated numerous audiences. Here is a previously unreleased live recording of the August 28, 1971 performance at the Palladium in Los Angeles, which has never before been released to the public.This live set is the only surviving multi-track recording of the band's original lineup. The setlist consists of songs from "Sayin' Shoes" ("Tryp Face Boogie" and "Teenage Nervous Breakdown") and songs from "Little Feet First" ("Hamburger Midnight" and "Snakes on Everything"). Also included is a booklet with detailed liner notes by renowned music journalist David Fricke, chief editor of Rolling Stone magazine.
