This new album by Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stanko, who made his first visit to Japan last year, is the third album by the Quartet. This is the third album by the Quartet, and as in the past, he is accompanied by a young up-and-coming Polish piano trio. Krzysztof Komeda's "Kattorna" and "Tale," which appeared on his ECM debut, "Balladyna," over 30 years ago, are now performed by this new group. This is a very rewarding album, including Stanko's unique soulful ballads.
