Poor Clare Sisters Arundel (Convent Of Poor Clares)

Description:

Following their hit debut album, the Sisters of St. Clara will release "My Peace I Give You," the second album by Arundel, Sisters of St. Clara, the latest "peace-giving" album from the Sisters of St. Clara, after their hit debut album "Light of the World" in 2020. My Peace I Give You. The Light of the World" has earned 80,000 units and 60 million streams, reached the Top 5 on the UK Albums Chart, topped Apple and Amazon internationally, and spent 19 consecutive weeks at #1 on the UK Specialist Classics Albums Chart. And it has been featured on television, radio, newspapers, and magazines in the United States, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and Austria. After receiving hundreds of letters, the girls titled their new album "My Peace I Give You. Their music is a combination of medieval monophonic chant and texts from St. Francis of 1224, with 21st century relaxing compositions, exactly 800 years later. The previous album, "Light of the World," was delivered just as people were seeking solace in the midst of a pandemic, and this album could not be better timed to encourage listeners to embrace happiness and harmony at a time when we are faced with a conundrum. The Canticle of The Sun, written by St. Francis of Assisi, a true friend of St. Clara, is the core of the album, a letter of gratitude for all the beauty we can find on this earth, from animals to plants, from sun to water. It is especially relevant in these times of global warming. Arundel, Sisters of St. Clara are women who live in a humble convent in rural West Sussex, England. The music for the chants was written by Juliette Portin, a Welsh mezzo-soprano, composer, arranger, and record producer, and her husband, James Morgan, also a record producer. The two have arranged the two folklore pieces and the song by Elizabeth Ballatti. I've always said that my wish is for our music to touch people's hearts," said Pochin. Many people tell me, "I don't believe in God, but there is something about your music that takes me somewhere I've never been before. That's what it's all about."--Sister Graca "We are connected with you in the tireless struggle to save and heal our world and our planet. We dedicate this album to all of you."--Arundel, Sisters of St. Clara *Digipak edition Universal Music/IMS
