To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis’s birth in 2026, the legendary 1958 album *Legrand Jazz* has been reissued as *Michel Legrand Meets Miles Davis*, featuring new artwork based on photos from the Miles and Legrand sessions. It also includes commentary by Michel Legrand on this historic session, which was not included on the original release. Michel Legrand described this album as “the record of his dreams.” This landmark work features a truly stellar lineup of musicians who gathered for the historic 1958 session in New York to record Legrand’s unique arrangements of jazz standards. Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Mann, Phil Woods, Eddie Costa, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers, Ben Webster, Hank Jones, Art Farmer, Donald Byrd... Upon its release in 1959, this album was critically acclaimed. Since then, it has undoubtedly left its mark on the history of jazz.
