J.S. Bach and Sainte-Colombes father and son by Johanna Lohse! Johanna Lohse studied under Paolo Pandolfo! She is also a member of the Academia del Piacere, a Spanish period ensemble! Johanna Lohse, a German viola da gamba player who studied with Paolo Pandolfo, presents her latest work, a unique suite of music by J.S. Bach and the Santo-Colombe father and son! Two of the three suites are Bach's unaccompanied cello suites in seven movements with Sainte-Colombes' preludes and chaconnes, and the other suite is Rohse's own adaptation of the music of the Sainte-Colombes father and son. She studied with Paolo Pandolfo at the Schola Cantorum Basel, the European center of ancient music education, and is a member of the Academia del Piacere, a Spanish period ensemble led by Spanish prodigy Fami Alcay. His previous albums for Rubicon, Maran Marre (RCD1041) and C.P.E. Bach (RCD1019), have both received critical acclaim. Tokyo M-Plus
