Slowdive drummer Simon Scott and Flying Saucer Attack brain Dave Pierce form the unit Three Quarter Skies! Their debut album "FADE IN" is a strong disc of "shoegaze folk" music. This album was completed with Simon taking the lead in songwriting and recording, and Dave lending his skills in mixing. This album shows Simon at the height of his creativity.The song "CROWS" is a slow-dive-style shoegaze explosion of sweetness that deepens as it unfolds, and "LEAVE A LIGHT ON" is dominated by a weird dreaminess that resembles a flying saucer attack. However, the two are connected by a cover of Nick Drake's classic "HORN," which has folk elements throughout.
