The Blessed Madonna is a house DJ/producer/activist from Kentucky, now based in London. One of the "most exciting turntablists" in the contemporary music scene, who has been wowing clubs and dance floors around the world, she is finally releasing her first studio album. Marea Stamper, aka The Blessed Madonna, was born and raised in Kentucky, where her career began at underground rave parties. After honing her skills as a DJ and producer in the underground dance scene, a big opportunity came her way in 2012 when she took a residency at Smarbar, an established club in Chicago.The following year she became the first female artist to curate a club, and from there her career took off, from DJing at Berlin's Panorama Bar to performing at festivals such as Coachella and Sonar, and even playing 13 sold-out shows in a row in London. She has played 13 consecutive sold-out shows in London. In 2016, she became the first female DJ/producer to win Mixmag's DJ of the Year award. But smooth sailing came to a halt with the pandemic, and while DJ tours and parties were hit hard, she found a new "voice" and style. This was Dua Lipa's "CLUB FUTURE NOSTALGIA (MIXED VERSION)" released in 2020. This club remix album features non-stop DJ mixes of remixed versions of songs from Dua Lipa's second album, FUTURE NOSTALGIA, and includes tracks by Madonna, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani, Mark Ronson, BLACKPINK, and house music's "Lost", BLACKPINK, and the Godfather of House Music, Larry Heard (aka Mr. Fingers).Following this "lockdown masterpiece," The Blessed Madonna appeared on Dua Lipa's "Studio 2054" global streaming show and released "Marea: We've Lost Dancing," a collaboration with Fred Agean.
