The complete collection of recordings made by Robert Cassadoche (1899-1972), one of the leading masters of the French piano school in the 20th century, for Columbia in France during the 10 years from 1928 to 1939. is now available from APR! Casadoche, who fled to the United States at the outbreak of World War II, is well known for the vast number of recordings he made for Columbia in the U.S. from 1940 until his death. This APR reissue of the Cassadoche set is a collection of his solo, chamber, and concerto recordings made in France prior to his departure for the United States, recordings that were not included in the 65-CD Complete Columbia Albums (American recordings) box previously released by SONY. The recordings are not included in the 65-CD Complete Columbia Album (American recordings) box released earlier by SONY.An additional highlight is the inclusion of a previously unreleased studio recording of Mozart's "Piano Concerto No. 26 "Coronation" (1931)"!
