Starting with the original power pop band THE RASPBERRIES led by Eric Carmen, BIG STAR with the genius ALEX CHILTON, and the great (pre)power pop band BLUE ASH from Ohio, US, who led the return to British Invasion bands in the mid 60's. The bands that led the return to the British Invasion bands of the mid-60s, such as DWIGHT TWILLEY BAND, the King of Power Pop THE RUBINOOS, US Power Pop legend SHOES, and a new generation of bands such as THE SHOES, whose single "My Sharon" and album "Get the Knack" have brought Power Pop to a commercially important position. The Knack, which has brought power pop to commercial prominence with the single "MY SHARONA" and the "GET THE KNACK" album, as well as the MC5, TODD RUNDGREN, FLAMIN' GROOVIES, SPARKS, and RAMONES are all included!
