Description:
From 1973 to 1997, Roger Boutry was the first civilian principal conductor of the Orchestre Garde-Républiqueine, the renowned French military band, and has also worked as a composer and pianist. This album is composed mainly of Boutry's works and is the result of the clarinetist Hiroko Ueda's longtime efforts. Ueda and Boutry have been friends for a long time, ever since they performed "ASUKA," which is also included in this album, together at a chamber music concert of only Boutry's works in 2005. Ueda's performance, which is unique in that he has interacted with the composer, approaches the listener with a persuasive power. The richly colored piano of Kaiya Fujii and the tenor saxophone of Asako Inoue in the unusual trio "Paronim" are also a must-hear. ＜Hiroko Ueda (clarinet) graduated from Osaka College of Music after studying music at Nishinomiya High School in Hyogo Prefecture. After working as an assistant teacher at the same university, she studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary. She gave a recital in Budapest.Since returning to Japan, he has appeared at music festivals and concerts in Japan and abroad, and has also made numerous guest appearances with orchestras and brass bands, and has given recitals such as The College Opera House Recommended Concert "The Miracle of Brahms' Late Years," Phoenix Evolution Series "Hungarian night: An Evening of Hungarian Music," Clarinet Fusion," "Impressions," "Origin and Derivation," and other recitals. He has also served as an instructor for instrumental workshops in various regions and as a jury for national competitions. He is a specially-appointed associate professor at Osaka College of Music, and a part-time lecturer at Kobe College, Osaka University of Arts, and Kobe Yamate Girls' High School Music Department.
