Celebrating their 10th anniversary, The Pen Friend Club's all-original 8th album, which features influences from mid-1960s to early 1970s U.S. West Coast rock/soft rock as well as a British musical approach, is now available on LP! The Pen Friend Club's 8th album "The Pen Friend Club" (September 7, SZDW1105), featuring 13 all-original songs, will be released on LP! In addition to leader and main songwriter Yuichi Hirakawa, Rie Nishioka and Rika have participated in writing lyrics for the first time, and New York-based Youth Yamada and London-based Kotaro Hirota have written lyrics in English, creating a concept album aspect that reflects the contemporary world! In addition, it is also the first participation of Megumi, who joined the band in 2020, and breaks new ground with a variety of sounds, including a British musical approach in addition to West Coast rock/soft rock from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s, creating a concept album for 2020 to 2022 that is appropriate for our confusing times! The album was mastered for analog, which is different from CDs and distribution, and was produced with meticulous attention to detail through repeated and careful test cutting!
