The original soundtrack of the hit TV drama "Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni (In a Corner of the World)" (broadcast on TBS from July 15, every Sunday from 9:00 to 9:54 p.m.)! Based on the manga of the same title by Fumiyo Kono (published by Futabasha), which has sold over 1.3 million copies in total. It is a story of family love that painstakingly depicts the irreplaceable daily life of the heroine Suzu Hojo (Honoka Matsumoto), who marries into the Kure family from Eba in Hiroshima Prefecture during the Pacific War, and her husband Shusaku (Momori Matsuzaka) and others in the Hojo family. The music for this drama is composed by Joe Hisaishi. Hisaishi's music, which blends with the visuals of the drama and evokes a nostalgic and tender feeling, has been attracting attention even before the broadcast. The soundtrack will also include the song sung by Suzu in the first episode. The song is an original song from the drama, composed and arranged by Joe Hisaishi, with lyrics by Keiwa Okada, who also wrote the script for the drama. The song is called "Yama no Mukou e no Mukou e" (Beyond the Mountain), a melody that anyone can sing along to. The song is sung by Hoka Matsumoto, who plays Suzu, the heroine of the drama, in this extravagant collaboration.
