Although many of the songs feature Wes in full, Wynton Kelly's distinctive backing and lively, lucid solos are also a major attraction. Jimmy Cobb (ds) is a fixed participant on all songs, but bassists Paul Chambers, Ron Carter, Larry Ridley, and Herman Wright all take turns on this album, which is also worth listening to. Although some of the recordings have been previously released, this is the official release with the approval of Wes' estate, and the last song "Cherokee" on LP2 and all the songs on LP3, "The Song Is You," "Four On Six," "Star Eyes," and "Oh You Crazy Moon," a total of five songs, are available on the Japanese The five songs on LP3, "The Song Is You," "Four On Six," "Star Eyes," and "Oh You Crazy Moon," were made available for the first time through the cooperation of the Wes Montgomery Fan Club in Japan. The balance and sound quality of the previously released recordings have been dramatically improved, and listeners who have already heard them will be amazed.The endless, raging improvisations in "Impressions," "Four On Six," "All The Things You Are," and "Cherokee," the ephemeral yet grandiose ballads in "Laura," "MiCosa," and "Oh You Crazy Moon The expression has not faded at all even after listening to it now. Throughout the entire performance, the "single note -> octave technique -> block chords", a signature of the solo structure, explodes in many places, igniting the bop spirit. The LP jacket features a photo of Wes and the appearance of the Half Note at the time, and the original 16-page English-language color booklet includes never-before-seen photos of Wes and interviews and comments from Ron Carter, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, Mike Stern, and others. A Japanese booklet, fully translated from the original English booklet, is included. Mastering was done by Matthew Lutthans, the Grammy-nominated engineer who mastered Nat King Cole.No parallel sales of imported vinyl.
