A collection of Victor recordings of Elman's early electric recordings. The Biddulph label has been focusing on reissuing Mischa Elman's recordings from 1926 to 1932. This is a collection of Mischa Elman's recordings from 1926 to 1932, a transitional period when Victor introduced electric recording in 1926 and was absorbed by RCA to become RCA Victor in 1929. Most of the recordings are small pieces of less than 5 minutes that can fit on one side of an SP disc. The repertoire is full of melodies that are still classic today, and are perfect for enjoying the golden tone of Hermann's music. Among them, small pieces such as Doldra, Dorigo, and Raff's music, which used to be standard but are now much less often heard, tell us about the fashions of the past. Naxos Japan
