Alessandro Cordele's second LINN release with Michael Barenboim] Alessandro Cordele's LINN debut recording of works by Respighi was well received. In this second volume, he conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra in two contrasting British works. In Britten's "Four Sea Interludes," he controlled the orchestra to the last detail, and painted a modern sound and a variety of musical ideas with great insight and style. In Elgar's concerto, which is consistent in its lyrical conception, Michael Barenboim, who is active with the West-Eastern Divian Orchestra and other orchestras, makes an appearance. The lyrical expression of Barenboim's father, Daniel Barenboim, backed up by his high technical skills, was heard to the fullest, and Crudere's extended support shone through. Naxos Japan
