This is the second project commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Grand Piano label. Another History of Russian Music" created by experimentation and creativity In the early 20th century, artists around the world were repeatedly "experimenting" in search of new and innovative expression. In Russia, avant-garde music was the rage. Representative examples include Mosolov, who wrote a piano sonata praised as "the Bible of modernism," Roullier, the standard-bearer of futurism, who was for a time heavily favored by the Soviet revolutionary government, and Roslavets, who aimed to create an atonal world with a unique sound system. On the other hand, there were also composers who turned their backs on the avant-garde and continued to create music while respecting the good old traditions. Metonel is one of these composers. What kind of world would Stanchinsky's music, which began as traditional Russian music, have led him to if he had not died unexpectedly at the age of 26?
