Jewish-British violinist Jack Liebeck, who explored his roots in his previous work, the Schoenberg and Brahms Violin Concertos (ORC100129), gave an outstanding performance. Twenty-five years after his debut concert with the Halle Orchestra, he is now an internationally acclaimed violinist, with plans to become Artistic Director of the Australian Chamber Music Festival in 2022, and is also active in teaching young people, including outreach to the educational sector. In this album, she performs Eugène Ysaÿe's Sonata for Solo Violin and "Poem of Sorrow. She plays these difficult pieces with dazzling virtuosity. Naxos Japan
