Beethoven's "Serenade in D major" was first completed in 1796 as a trio for flute, violin, and viola. It is a beautiful work. The work was well received as soon as it was published in 1802, and the following year a Leipzig publisher published Beethoven's own arrangement for flute and piano, which also proved to be very popular. Along with these two versions, the album includes the piano and flute version of "Piano Concerto No. 1 - Second Movement," arranged by Theobald Böhm, who is known for having perfected the modern flute. You can enjoy the unknown works of Beethoven, who did not leave many works in which the flute plays an active role, except for symphonies.
