The ultimate live album to be released in 2023, "SHIBUYA YANEURA 1983", is a compilation of the best performances from unreleased recordings in 1983, including an extremely rare one-night-only session with Japan's leading blues harpist, Ryuichiro Seo as a guest! The live performance in 1983, which coincided with the release of the 20cm EP "RIDE ON!" containing 4 songs, the first time in 9 years since "Himatsubushi" in 1974, was a particularly highly regarded period among fans, and "SHIBUYA YANEURA 1983" released in 2023 is still selling well. In response to many requests for more sound recordings from this period, a 2-CD set is being released, featuring the best performances selected from completely unreleased live performances from the same period. Disc 1 features a one-night-only session with Japan's leading blues harpist, Ryuichiro Seo, nicknamed "Weeping Harp Seno," who was invited to join the band as a guest. Mr. Seo appeared on stage after being introduced by Fujio, who said, "A little blues time, this is Mr. Ryuichiro Seo.Seo performed not only harp but also vocals on the blues standards "Let The Good Times Roll" and "Stormy Monday," and there is no record of Fujio playing these songs live other than on this occasion. The sudden collaboration continued into an impromptu funk jam, and Fujio's improvised lyrics, which showed glimpses of "Jump So High" written around this time, were also brilliant, and although only Fujio played guitar since Shinichi Aoki did not participate this day, the audience could hear the thrilling interplay of Seo's harp and Fujio's guitar. This was the first and last time Seo and Fujio performed together, and this is a rare one-night-only live performance! Disc 2 contains 7 songs from the live performance at Harajuku Crocodile in May of the same year. Both performance and sound quality are the best of this period. The second disc contains 4 songs from the live performance at Hosei University in December of the same year.The Beatles cover "Dear Prudence" and the Temptations cover "My Girl" were included on the CDR that was distributed as a limited edition bonus with the reissue of "RIDE ON! This time, the two best takes from the same day are newly recorded and remastered by Soichiro Nakamura (PEACE MUSIC) from the master tape.
