Description:

TJO's 10th original solo album, completed after overcoming hardship and loss. This is a masterpiece that combines a minimalist composition and melting soundscape with the indomitable spirit of TJO, who has never stopped moving forward. It has been seven years since "Tara Jane O'Neil," an album that focused more on "songs" and brought out her abundant talent as a singer/songwriter, and she has overcome many hardships and losses, including the pandemic caused by the Corona disaster, the deaths of family and friends, and her house being destroyed by the Thomas wildfires that ravaged California. After overcoming many hardships and losses, Tara Jane O'Neil has finally completed her 10th original solo album.Since the last album, the group has released a number of albums, including the original soundtrack to Nanako Hirose's debut film "Dawn," a collaboration with Marisa Anderson, and a deluxe edition of their first album "Peregrine" to commemorate its 20th anniversary, among many others. The new network that has grown up on the West Coast, where O'Neill has been living in recent years, and the minimalist psychedelic music that has emerged from it, includes Sheridan Riley of the Alvvays, Walt McClements, who is also known for his work with Mary Lattimore, Meg Duffy of the Hand Habits, Marisa Anderson, and many others. The minimal, psychedelic, and spiritual soundscape and tough ensemble that emerges from this network will give you a full sense of the new step forward and solidarity that Tara Jayne O'Neill has embarked on in this album. While blending O'Neill's recent musical tastes such as ambient jazz, minimal music, and electronic music, it is her voice and the tone of her guitar that will remain in your ears. The Cool Cloud of Okayness" is an indefatigable look at accepting sorrow and moving forward again, and at rebuilding. The U.S. LP of this work will be released by Orindal Records, operated by Owen Ashworth, who works as Cassiotone for the Painfree Alone, but this CD version is an independent release by Sweet Dreams Press.
