Description:

The Rough Guides series is well-known for its valuable recordings, which are ideal for beginners as well as for enthusiasts. Rough Guide's "Blues Series" has produced a number of excellent compilations, including "Delta Blues" (Sambinha Imports WNSI-1112) and "Ragtime Blues" (WNSI-1118), with a focus on prewar blues. And now we present a must-have for blues fanatics and those who want to delve deeper and deeper into country blues! Country Blues: The Unknown Blues" is a comprehensive compilation of classic tunes and charming novelty songs by mysterious bluesmen whose identities are no longer known. Country Blues" is a generic term for the Southern-born blues music that incorporates ragtime, Dixieland jazz, hillbilly, gospel, and other local musical elements, and reached its peak in the 1920s and 1930s.Country blues artists known as "The Voice of the Delta" Charlie Patton (1887-1934), Blind Blake (1895-1933), a ragtime virtuoso with an amazing finger-picking technique, and Blind Willie McTell (1898-?), a hillbilly style artist admired by Bob Dylan, are all well-known in the country blues scene. Blind Willie McTell (1898-?), a hillbilly style musician admired by Bob Dylan, and BB. Blind Lemon Jefferson (1897-1930), a representative of the prewar blues who captivated many blues giants, including BB. However, this collection includes a total of 26 rare recordings from the 1920s and 1930s, including "phantom tracks" by bluesmen whose names you may not have seen or heard before, as well as "forgotten" masterpieces by great bluesmen. The 26 tracks are a parade of excellent and tasteful playing that is in no way inferior to the great performances left behind by the big names of the era.You can enjoy a variety of guitar styles from syncopated Piedmont blues-style finger picking to austere bottleneck playing and light tremolo playing with a mandolin, as well as humorous ho-hum blues such as [6] and [11], the harmonica virtuosity in [19], the fun vocal-chorus interplay in [25], and the humorous ho-hum blues in [9]. You can also enjoy a wide range of styles such as the humorous ho-hum blues of [6] and [11], the harmonica virtuosity of [19], the fun vocal-chorus interplay of [25], and the shouted female vocal of [9], which can be enjoyed only in the category of "country blues". The high quality and loving remastering technology that the Rough Guides series is known for has done a great job on this album as well! If you are a blues fan looking to uncover more hidden gems, this is a must. For beginners, this is the perfect first step on the road to mania, with a catalog that is easy to get into!
