This is a live recording of the last years of the master George Szell's life. Haydn is a composer that suits Sell perfectly, and No. 92 is a favorite piece that he especially loved to perform in demonstrations. This is a passionate performance with a clean, cool tone. It was a perfect performance with a good sense of rhythm that was evident in every corner of the piece. The performance of the Bra 1, the 18th piece on the program, was recorded the day after the CBS studio recording. Sell's horsepower was at full throttle right from the beginning of the piece, overwhelming the audience. The second movement was a sad song. The third movement was full of emotionally charged agitation. And the finale! He makes full use of the tempo change and Achterland, which even Furtwängler would have been proud of, to create a grand triumph. Muse Trade
