Nile is a death metal band from South Carolina, formed in 1993 by Carl Sanders (vocals, guitar), the only remaining original member of the band. After releasing several demos, the band signed with the prestigious Relapse Records and made their album debut in 1998 with "Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka". The band's highly technical compositions and original style of music and lyrics, which leaned heavily on Middle Eastern culture, made them very popular. Shrines" in 2002, and their fourth album "Annihilation of the Wicked" in 2005.The band then signed with the major German label Nuclear Blast Records and released five studio albums: "Ithyphallic" (2007), "Those Whom the Gods Detest" (2009), "At the Gate of Sethu" (2012), "What Should Not Be Unearthed (2009), "At the Gate of Sethu" (2012), "What Should Not Be Unearthed" (2003), and "Vile Nilotic Rites" (2007), and released five studio albums. They will release their first new album in five years, "The Underworld Awaits Us All". They left their long-time home, Nuclear Blast, and moved to Napalm. Carl expresses great confidence in this album, saying, "The performances, musicianship, compositions, brutality, production, everything is the best ever.
