Contents of the film
Jabberwocky" was the first film that I could call my own.
I think it was when I looked back on this film that I began to believe that I was a real filmmaker.

Terry Gilliam, the only American animator in Monty Python, Britain's most powerful comedy troupe, directed his first solo film, "Jabberwocky," in 1977. The film is a medieval fantasy adventure comedy based on Lewis Carroll's nonsense poem and starring Pythons member Michael Palin.The film is full of black humor and depicts the activities of a young man who becomes involved in the extermination of a ferocious monster in a certain kingdom. After its first screening in Japan in 1980, the film was only released on VHS and was known as a "hidden masterpiece" that could not be seen by fans.
