Approximately two and a half years after the release of her first solo album, My Songs, Takako Tsujii has released her second album, My Place. While she handled all aspects of My Songs—including songwriting, arrangement, and performance—she entrusted the production and arrangement of this new album, My Place, to Junpei Sakuma. Junpei Sakuma is a musician who has released multiple albums and performed live as a solo singer, while also continuing to work as a support musician for Kōsetsu Minami’s concert tours and TV appearances. As an arranger, he has produced music for television, radio, films, and commercials. As a musician highly skilled in string instruments such as the guitar and violin, he has provided support for stage performances and studio recordings by artists including Wataru Takada, Muneyuki Sato, Hitoshi Komuro, Yadranka, and Takio Ito. Thanks to Junpei Sakuma’s arrangements, Takako Tsujii’s signature raw, acoustic sound has been enriched with pop-inspired, colorful tones and a classical, chic flair. The door to the music Takako Tsujii has known and loved since childhood has been opened by Junpei Sakuma’s masterful touch, resulting in a collection of ten song stories that gently let a breeze into the heart. Ever since she began her solo career, Takako Tsujii has continued to perform live, loading her car with a mountain of instruments and traveling all over Japan. The songs nurtured during those musical days have come together in the album My Place.
