The Cowsills, a family band known in the 60's for oldies hits such as "First Love Gone in the Rain" and the theme song from the musical "Hair," have released their first miraculous original studio album in 24 years, since 1998! The highly accomplished songs and arrangements by Bob, Paul, and Susan, as well as the brilliant chorus work that evokes West Coast influences such as the Beach Boys and the Eagles, show no signs of slowing down. It is truly evergreen pop rock that has not faded. The Cowsills were formed in 1965 by brothers Bill and Bob Barry and later joined by their brothers John and Paul, sister Susan, and mother Barbara. In 1967, he signed with MGM and released "The Rain, the Park and Other Things," which became a hit, selling over one million copies. She continued to have hits with "We Can Fly," "Indian Lake," and "Hair," and also released a series of albums.They also released the TV drama "The Partridge Family" and a comic book based on their family, and became national stars, but disbanded in 1972. Susan released albums with the Continental Drifters and as a solo artist, and the band reunited in 1978 to record "Cocaine Drain" (2008). The band reunited in 1978 to record "Cocaine Drain" (which was not released until 2008), and since the 1990s, they have reunited for live performances whenever invited to perform at various commemorative events.
