Description:
PYRAMID 5", the fifth album by the two-men unit "PYRAMID", consisting of the world-renowned drummer Akira Jimbo and Yuji Toriyama, who has supported the Japanese music world across the boundaries, has been released in limited analog form! The album is a fusion of city pop, AOR, fusion, Jazz, and Latin music, and includes "Reflection Green," a new revival of a sound source left behind by Hirotaka Izumi, "Blue Bop" featuring Philip Seth, and "Friendship" by Toots Sielmans, who also worked with Tatsu Nishiwaki. Tatsuya Nishiwaki, who had also worked with Toots Sielmans on "Friendship," joined on harmonica on "Mau Loa," and the band's original fusion/smooth jazz sound of the highest standard can also be enjoyed. With artists such as Kan Sano and Millie Snow, this album is a perfect "fusion" of AOR, fusion, jazz, and Latin music.
