Academic BANANA (a.k.a. Akabana) debuted with their first EP "Tokyo" in June 2018. The band's songs are universal and unique, and their high performance skills quickly drew crowds at their guerrilla street live shows, which are now difficult to organize. The band calls their unique music "Neo Uta Kyoku" (Neo Songs), which is created by each member's inspiration from a variety of music. Vocalist Tomoki Saito is currently playing the role of Singer Yoshino in the smartphone game "Black Star -Theater Starless-". Their 1st Full Album "SEASON" has sold more than 1,500 copies after the success of their in-store live performances held in various places in Japan.The previous 2nd Full Album "Love Letter" was a collection of love songs with a somewhat sad tone, which is typical of Academic BANANA's more emotional and sincere approach, and sold more than 1,700 copies. The seven songs on this concept EP, "BLUE JEANS," focus on the summer season, with each song adding a different sound to the summer scene. The Akabana sound, always seeking newness and digging into the past in an innovative way, will make this summer even more enthralling.
