This is a collection of beautiful violin sonatas from the early 20th century by the elephantine sister duo, Leah & Esther Billinger. The collection includes early sonatas by Schimanowski, who was influenced by Brahms, Franck, and even Chopin, sonatas by Hindemith, who was also a violin virtuoso, and a lyrical, rhapsodic sonata by Respighi, who was also a violinist. In 2008, she won the highest prize at the Brahms International Competition. In 2008, she won the top prize at the Brahms International Competition. Pianist Esther Biringer studied with Karl-Heinz Kemmerling, a renowned German teacher who has trained many world-class pianists. She won the first prize at the 6th Johann Sebastian Bach International Competition, which brought a lot of attention to her talent.As a duo, they won two prominent competitions in succession in 2011 (the International Chamber Music Competition of the City of Pinheiro and the Florence International Chamber Music Competition "Vittorio Gui") and have been invited to perform at music festivals and concert series around the world.
