The Amadeus Quartet's third collection of rare RIAS first recordings at the height of their popularity is Mozart! The third release of the Amadeus Quartet's first-ever RIAS recordings on the German audite label, which has gained a reputation for high-quality sound reissues, is Mozart! This RIAS Mozart recording was made in the 1950s and is full of fresh interpretation and ambition of the quartet, which was founded in 1948. The sound is silky, the ensemble is superb, and the nuances are exquisite. The performance is not only excellent, but the audite label's excellent reissue is also noteworthy, and the sound quality, although monaural, is very clear.The RIAS recordings were made in one take with no editing of the movements, so although they are session recordings, the performances are vividly reminiscent of a live performance. Please enjoy these recordings together with the first Beethoven recording (AU21424) and the second Schubert recording (AU21428). ＜The four members of the Amadeus Quartet, Norbert Breinin (1st violin), Siegmund Nisse (2nd violin), Peter Sidorov (viola), and Martin Lovett (cello), met while living in exile in England and decided to form the quartet in 1948. The Amadeus String Quartet was formed in 1948. The music is still well known for its interpretations of German and Austrian works, especially Beethoven and Mozart. In particular, the tone of first violinist Norbert Breinin is extremely graceful and adds a gorgeous touch to the ensemble.The string quartet also has the charm of playing on a large scale, making each part stand out and making the performance seem like a symphony.
