Johannes Plamzoller's Bach! Johannes Plamzoller's own label, Audax Records, presents a 3-CD set of sonatas by the great Bach coupled with sonatas by his sons and pupils! Includes Japanese commentary! Johannes Plamzoller is a baroque violinist of the "21st century generation" who has made his way from South Tyrol to the world, and is the leader of the Ensemble Diderot and the International Baroque Players. In 2013, he launched his own label, Audax. After having uncovered a number of undiscovered Baroque repertoire on his own label, Plamzoller has finally recorded Bach's masterpiece! However, Plumzoller is in his element in that he does not stop at Bach alone.The complete "Six Sonatas for Violin and Obligato Harpsichord BWV.1014-1019" in trio sonata form, which were composed by the great Bach around 1720 and continued to be modified until his later years, are the centerpiece of this work, and Bach's authenticity is suspected (perhaps even the work of his sons). BWV.1020 and BWV.1022, and trio sonatas by J.S. Bach's contemporaries & sons and students, including Telemann, Scheibe, Graun, Schaffrath, and C.P.E. Bach. The three CDs can also be listened to as three separate recitals. Plumzoller and Philippe Griswahl originally conceived of the album as a sequel to "Bach & Anthrage" (ADX13703), featuring sonatas by Pisendel, Kreps, Graun, and others, but it has since been released on CD in various locations, including Darmstadt, Leipzig, Brussels, Berlin, Munich The album was developed into this major project after unexpectedly encountering many works in libraries in Darmstadt, Leipzig, Brussels, Berlin, Munich, Dresden, Halle, and other cities.
